Codex

OpenAI's coding agent for local coding workflows. Set it up on the computer where you want OpenMeld to run local work.

OpenMeld checks supported local agents on this computer and only lists installations it can control. Sign in to an agent before checking again.

Install

If you already use the ChatGPT app on this computer, open it and make sure you are signed in. OpenMeld can use the Codex included with ChatGPT.
If you do not use the ChatGPT app, install Codex from OpenAI.
Open Codex once and sign in with your ChatGPT account.

Next step

Re-run the setup command from OpenMeld Web. If this computer is already set up, open Settings, go to Computers, and choose Check Local Agents.

OpenMeld checks every Codex installation it can safely control. If ChatGPT includes a working signed-in Codex, OpenMeld uses it automatically. You do not need to choose an installation unless you want to change it.
